BLUEPRINT

2014 • MATERIALS: INK & LINSEED OIL / STEEL MESH CUT INTO SQUARES / SEWING THREAD / STEEL WIRE / WHITE GLOSS PAINT CIRCLE ON THE WALL

SIZE: 500 x 300 cm / 11 x 50 x 50 x cm

BLUEPRINT is an exhibition inspired by a drawing by Stig Rex. The floor installation was created using a combination of ink and linseed oil to achieve a rich, layered texture. It features 11 Rubik’s Cube-like grids, each carefully wound with sewing thread in the iconic colors of the Rubik’s Cube.

The choice of 11 grids is significant, as it reflects the number of ways a piece of paper can be folded into a cube, symbolizing the complex possibilities of form and structure. These grids appear as if they are in a state of transformation—either folding or unfolding—encouraging viewers to explore the dynamic intersections between order, geometry, and materiality.

FAQs

Meet the artist

I am a visual artist who likes the sign of languages, repetitions of gestures and blurred images.

This is a photograph of me shaking my head to loosen up any lines, a colour gone mushy or pieces of the puzzle, that might have gotten a bit stuck.

I am fond of Francis Bacon, Eva Hesse, Agnes Martin, Mark Rothko, Giotto, Leonardo da Vinci - I could go on.

On this website you will find my small contribution to the world of art and culture.
